The Organ Transportation Container takes a new approach towards organpreservation. This device constantly rotates the pancreas in and out ofthe UW and PFC solutions for up to 24 hours.

 The diameter of the cage can be manually adjusted, by rotating the“finger-like”mechanism; so that the inner diameter of the cage can fitdifferent size organs.

 The Organ Transportation Container has two ports for pumping the UWand PFC solutions.

 For organ shipping, the Organ Transportation Container is placedinside an insulated shipping container where cold temperatures can bemaintained and monitored for at least 24 hours.

The islet shipping container was specifically designed for the shipmentof islet cells in aircrafts. Simulating incubator conditions, thisdevice maintains the gas concentration surrounding the cells constantthroughout the flight.
